# FraudResearch: AI Against American Fraud

> Independent, open-source public-record research toolkit and Hermes Agent profile. The mission is to help tackle fraud in America with AI, evidence preservation, falsifiable questions and human review.

## What this is

A Python 3.11+ workbench using uv, SQLite, DuckDB and Parquet, plus 13 linked research skills. It preserves originals and hashes, supports bounded source acquisition and exact-value analysis, and exports private research drafts. It does not determine guilt, contact subjects, file tips or guarantee awards.

## Important facts

- National research remit does not mean national census coverage. Source coverage is specific to each release.
- No real cases, evidence stores, credentials or personal histories are bundled. Examples are synthetic; website illustrations are fictional.
- This is a community project, not a U.S. government service or an officially endorsed Nous Research project.
- Local storage does not mean zero outbound data. Model and web providers have their own data flows.
- Do not post allegations, personal information or evidence in public issues.
